Happy Monday beautiful people! Today marks the second week in the month of April and the continuation of the topic word: RENEW!
Last week, the word topic focused on the renewing of the mind, which can be read here. However, this week will be focused on the renewing of thoughts.
According to Merriam-Webster Dictionary, a thought is an idea, plan, opinion, picture, etc., that is formed in your mind. In fact, as you read this post right now, thoughts are formatting in your mind. One may be: “What the heck does this have to do with renewing?” or “Okay, I’m bored new site.” Whatever the case maybe we are always thinking, so, when it comes to renewing your mind, you must renew your thought process as well. By renewing your thoughts, you will become more grateful for what God has provided you with than upset from what you don’t have.
Psalms 103:5 gives a great explanation on how God provides His children with needed goods to help them grow.
[He] satisfies [your] mouth with good things; so that your youth is renewed like eagles.
In the verse prior to the one above, (Psalms 103:4), readers are told to bless the Lord wholeheartedly because of everything that He has done. Verse 5 indicates that one of the blessings God provides us with are “good things”. These “good things” represent food, shelter, family, etc.to help us grow and mature just like eagles. For example, He provides us with parents/ guardians. Although we may not get along with our caretaker on a day to day basis, once we grow older a lesson is learned. So, if you are one who grew up without a father figure, by now you’ve probably made up in your mind when you have a child, the father will be apart of his/her life. Or, if you were born a foster child, by now you know when you have a child, you and your spouse will be apart of his/her life.
Our God is not one of confusion and will not put more on us than we can bare. Whatever you maybe going through remember that He is only helping you grow because once you get through that trial or tribulation you will be able to fly as high an eagle and nothing will be able to harm you!
