Trust in the Lord with all your heart;

5 Ways to Manage Your College Years without Going Insane!

Although college is considered the “best years” of a young adult’s life, sometimes those years may seem like the worst. Nevertheless, there is no need to fear because help is on the way! Below are five tips that you can add to your daily schedule to manage these years and more without going insane:

1.) Put you’re foot down!

Remember you are in control and you should let no one or anything take control of or over you.

Look, I have given you authority over all the power of the enemy, and you can walk among snakes and scorpions and crush them. Nothing will injure you. Luke 10:19 NLT

2.) Breathe… You are not alone!

When you feel like you are about to break, step away from the situation and just

B-R-E-A-T-H-E. Keep in mind that God knows and sees EVERYTHING that you are going through, for he says:

Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand. Isaiah 41:10 NLT

3.) Take a break and  relax!

Set aside thirty  minutes to an hour for yourself daily. You deserve it!

Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28 NLT

4.) Don’t put more on yourself than you can bear!

God doesn’t so why should you?

The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure. 1 Cor. 10:13 NLT

5.)  Just Do You!

Take your God-given talent and use it to the extreme! If you like to sing, pick a song and sing it at the top of your lungs. If you’re a dancer, pick a song and just dance! If you draw, get that pencil and go to town. If you don’t do any of these JUST HAVE FUN! Let loose! That’s what I do. Make up your own song. Sing off-key. Hop around and make a new dance. Hey, you never know it could be the next “Crank That” phenomena!

God has given each of you a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another. 1 Peter 4:10 NLT

Testimony Tuesday: Who is Kel Mitchell?

What is the first thing that comes to mind when you hear… “Welcome to Good Burger, home of the Good Burger, can I take your order?” What about, “Who loves orange soda?” I don’t know about you, but for me the name Kel Mitchell lights up in my mind. Growing up in the 90s, I can truly say this guy brought laughter to my Saturday nights and joy to any of my bad days. So, never in a million years would I have thought that he would live a life of suicidal depression and drug abuse after his time in the television spotlight came to a crashing halt.  Nevertheless, after renewing his relationship with Christ, Kel was able to find peace after his deadly storm and is now better than ever! Check out his testimony, provided by CBN, Kel Mitchell on Fame!
